"Sing to the Lord, all the earth. Sing to the Lord, bless His name; Proclaim good tidings of His salvation from day to day. Tell of His glory among the nations, His wonderful deeds among all the peoples."
Music Ministry
Three times in two short verses God, through His holy word, decrees that we worship Him through song. What are we to sing? Of His salvation, His unending glory, and His miraculous works. To whom shall we sing this? Every nation, tribe and tongue. This is the mission and heart of the music ministry at Charity Baptist Church; to seek and preach the truth of Christ’s gospel through song. The truth that, “…while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.” Romans 5:8. And because of His death we may have eternal life with God the father, through Jesus the Son, by the Holy Spirit.
Volunteer Opportunities
We have several opportunities for people to be involved in the music ministry at Charity Baptist Church. Below are the volunteering opportunities we have within the Music Ministries. If you are interested in volunteering for the worship or production team please fill out the form below for more information on how to get involved.
At Charity we believe that all talent is a gift from God that is ultimately meant to bring Him honor and glory – especially music. For those that have the ability to play an instrument or sing we have several positions that you can volunteer for including: piano, electric guitar, acoustic guitar, bass guitar, keys, organ, drums, and voice.
The Production Team works in tandem with the Pastor and the Worship Team to facilitate church services that glorify God and remove barriers to worship. Our volunteers operate live graphics, mix live audio, and record each service to go out and reach even more people.

Our Philosophy on Musical Worship
The music we sing at Charity Baptist Church is a blend of old and new. We love the doctrinally rich hymns of the past. We are also not afraid of some of the newer contemporary hymns that are equally rich in biblical doctrine. Most of us who are comfortable with music from one particular era have discovered that we have come to enjoy other songs we had not previously encountered. We strongly prefer congregational singing, which emphasizes the gathered body singing praise to God with one voice, over performed music, which tends to spotlight the abilities of some while encouraging passivity in the rest. The worship team leads us in worship, but each person- young & old- is encouraged to sing together. We believe the most beautiful instrument in any Christian service is the sound of the congregation singing.
